F.A.Q.

Great question! A standard moka pot uses a single pressure channel, which can lead to uneven extraction and sometimes bitter or flat results. Our dual valve system combines a pressure extraction valve for richer oil extraction with a separate safety relief valve. This means you get a fuller, smoother cup with golden crema on top, while excess pressure is safely released every time you brew.

The 2 Cup size brews approximately 3.4 oz (approx. 100ml) of espresso, perfect for a single strong serving or one Americano. The 4 Cup size brews approximately 6.8 oz (approx. 200ml), ideal if you are making coffee for two or prefer a larger volume. Both sizes feature the same dual valve system and transparent lid, so you get the same quality extraction regardless of which you choose.

Absolutely! The interior features a food-grade anti-oxidation coating that is completely safe for brewing. This coating serves two important purposes: it prevents the oxidation spots and mineral scale buildup common in traditional aluminum moka pots, and it keeps your brewer looking clean and performing at its best for much longer. You get better-tasting coffee and a pot that stays in great condition.

This moka pot is compatible with gas, electric coil, and halogen stoves. For induction cooktops, you will need a separate induction adapter plate, which is widely available. One helpful tip: always keep your flame or heat source below the base of the pot to protect the handle from heat damage. Medium-low heat typically produces the best, most even extraction results.

Caring for your moka pot is simple! After each use, let it cool completely, then hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh detergents, as these can damage the anti-oxidation coating over time. Never put it in the dishwasher. Dry all components thoroughly before reassembling or storing. With this gentle routine, your brewer will deliver consistently rich, flavorful espresso for years to come.
