This 58mm portafilter fits all standard E61 group head machines. That includes popular models from Rocket, Rancilio, ECM, Profitec, Lelit, Bezzera, La Pavoni, Faema, Nuova Simonelli, Flair 58, Sanremo, and many more. The one notable exception is the Breville 920XL, which uses a slightly different locking geometry and is not compatible.

It ships with a 22g filter basket that fits the standard 58mm (approx. 2.28 in) opening. A 22g capacity gives you plenty of room for higher dose recipes, which tend to produce richer, more full-bodied espresso. If you already own precision baskets from other brands in the 58mm size, those will fit this portafilter as well.

Absolutely. The body is machined from 304 stainless steel, a food-grade alloy prized for its corrosion resistance and strength. It is the same material used in commercial espresso equipment, so it handles daily pulling, backflushing, and hot water exposure without warping or degrading. You can expect years of reliable service with basic care.

A naked portafilter removes the spout so you can watch the extraction in real time. This lets you spot problems like channeling, uneven flow, or spurting that indicate poor puck prep or grind issues. By seeing exactly what is happening, you can adjust your distribution, tamping, or grind size immediately, saving beans and dialing in faster than with a spouted portafilter.

After each session, rinse the stainless steel body with warm water and dry it immediately to prevent water spots. For the wood handle, wipe it down with a dry cloth and avoid submerging it in water, as prolonged soaking can cause the grain to swell or crack. An occasional light application of food-safe mineral oil keeps the wood looking fresh and feeling smooth.
